Kids' Library Card

An added benefit to giving a child their own library card is access to educational exercises on the internet.  The Snohomish County Libraries offer educational games and tools from pre-k through Grade 5.  In checking out the pre-K material, we found our 3 year old granddaughter enjoying it immensely, and learning.  We've heard so much about ABCmouse.com, but can't imagine anything it can offer beyond the Library's offering and there is no cost.  Mobile access is also available.

Target Supporting Schools K-12

If you are a Target shopper and have a REDcard, besides saving 5% on your purchases; you can also benefit a K-12 school of your choice.  To take advantage of this option, sign in on your Target account and select the REDcard tab. There, activate your card if you haven't already, and then proceed to select the educational program.

If you have any problem with this process, you can call the folks at Target and they are more than willing to help.  I am happy that I will be able to help my grandson's school in another state.

From the site: Target Educational Programs

With the help of our REDcard™ holders, Target has donated $418 million to local K-12 schools since 1997 through Take Charge of Education (TCOE). The program lets guests designate 1 percent of their REDcard purchases to a K-12 school of their choice to fund whatever the school needs most. In 2014, more than 84,000 schools received a TCOE check, totaling more than $31 million in TCOE donations for the year, keeping us on track to reach our goal to increase TCOE giving to schools nationwide.
